what treasured of your family history, how lucky you are to be able to appreciate and preserve them for future generations. They're beautiful. Deb
i would make a cloth tag for that last quilt. keep the papper one also as it is. but find a way to sew those words to the quilt and then date it this year. just an idea
Oh, please at least put some date reference on the notes ... and the names of the people involved .... It will help your own children in figuring it all out later ..... What treasures! Thanks for sharing.

What treasures to hold dear!
These are my kind of treasures!!! Priceless!!!!!
Beautiful! You are very lucky to have these quilts. I can tell that you treasure them.
Wow... this is something. The quilts my grandmother made disintegrate over the years. I would wash it by hand with woolite in the tub and have two people ring the water out of it and hand it on a clothes line. There are some certain kind of boxes you can preserve them in instead just putting them on a shelve.
scan this handwritten note and print it on fabric you can run through your printer ... a great keepsake ... you can add more information underneathOriginally Posted by QuiltE
i love that applique quilt. that is so pretty.
How wonderful that you have these beautiful quilts that are a part of your family history. I would personally be afraid to wash anything so special, so precious. You might want to bring them around to the different dry cleaners in your area and compare their methods of stain removal suggestions and prices, and then choose one of them to professionally clean them for you. You definitely should label them with the story. Good luck and thank you for sharing!
Very nice. I would scan the note and put it on fabric. Laminate the origional and keep it safe somewhere. That quilt must be very special.
What wonderful treasures and history!!
