Oh what treasures. I think you could wash by hand in the bathtub with woolite and it wouldn't hurt it. I think it would last longer if it is cleaned.

Oh my gosh, so stunning and to have the hand written note with it? So awesome!! I would caution you to change out the saftey pin every so often though as the metal can break down and rust which you don't want on that lovely quilt. (Ask me how I know :))

I would be so tempted to buy a quilt display cabinet, hand wash the quilts in woolite, laminate the label and make a permanet label as well for each quilt and lovingly display them in a place of honor in the cabinet. Thanks for sharing and proving how durable fabric is over the years.

Considering how old these are, I am suprised that they have not needed some "Refurbishing" like redoing the binding or some pulled stitches.
