God bless you for your caring and sharing.
God bless Olivia and her family. They will so enjoy the charm their little one will bring to their lives.
The quilt is beautiful, and I commend you on your perseverence to find just the right recipient ... and you DID!
Miss Olivia is going to love your buttons textures; you just wait and see! <wave>

I don't have an actual pattern for this, but had an old quilt block that I used for reference. It is an incredibly easy block to make and I loved the finished look. Again, this is a horrible quilt to use free-motion quilting on.
There are several websites that have good directions:

Love Olivia's prayer quilt, and what a little doll she is, too! It's people like you who make the world a better place to live. What a kind thing you did. May she enjoy her quilt in good health!

    Bless you and Olivia!

This year, I made it for a little girl at church born with Downs Syndrome, as a secret project. I fondly call this my prayer quilt because it took me four months to make it and every time I sat down to work on it, something would go wrong and many times I cried over it. I used the time I worked on it to pray for Olivia and her family. Her grandmother secretly got her and her sibling's hand prints and I incorporated them into the quilt along with the words "sweet", "Olivia", , "hope", and "love." This was my first experience with free-motion quilting, while it was really hard to find my groove, I loved the freedom of it. I'm so glad you stopped by to see this quilt project. Love to hear from you!
