Let's see if I an calculate them. 237 double nine patch blocks at 49 pieces each would be 11,613; plus 238 shoo fly blocks at 41 pieces each would be 9,758; Oh my gosh is right! 21,371 pieces.

Nope, no border on mine. I do plan to bind it with black fabric to set off the colors.

That is one of the most stunning quilts I have ever seen! Excellent piecing, fantastic color placement. I'm not sure I could put this one on my bucket list, lots and lots of pieces, but it sure is gorgeous!
