    Hi Overlander that is looking great!

    Interesting that you rip in half along the length - following the Maxine Rosenthal book, I've always cut the strips along the WOF. Do I understand you correctly that as you look at the fabric with the selvedge either side, the LEFT side is perfectly printed but the right side not? Did the instructor give you a reason for this being the case? It's not something I've come across. I've always understood that fabric is roller printed and can't understand why the pattern repeat would be 'wrong' on one side. Also, if you didn't want to use the original fabric in the border, you'd have to buy twice as much fabric as you needed and waste the rest. :D
