So sorry for your loss. And yes, I'm also glad you finished it so he could look at it. What a neat thing that you have such a happy face picture for you to remember him by, though. Congratulations!

Thank you for sharing your pain with us. It is a part of the "healing" process, which is so understated. Just know that when times get tough, you're surrounded by love here.

Oh! I didn't expect this news. I am so sorry to hear that he has moved on. I will lift your family up in my prayers. He certainly looks like a very proud husband in that picture. What a treasure you have now. It was made to comfort him, but before you hang it up on the wall - use it to get comfort from him now. (at least for a while). I'm so glad you were able to finish it for both of you. The real gift here was the "very proud husband" picture. (Thank him for that).
Gods blessings as you begin this new journey. Always know you can come here to weep, complain, get love and support or just be with friends. Please accept hugs, hugs and hugs from all of us here on the board.

I love the quilt! You did a great job of making it appear as though you are looking out a window...And how lucky are you, that you found the perfect boarder fabric! This is a great pic of your husband, to be the last one, he looks very thrilled with a quilt(your work).Every quilter should be so blessed as to have a great pic of her hubby with a quilt she made him.

Beautiful job on the quilt. As you can tell by the smile on his face he thought so also. Add my prayers for you on you and your familys loss. This will be a great memory of how much he loved his quilt. I also want to do an Attic Windows hope it turns out half as great as yours. BrendaK
