One of my sewing a couple of a deer

Love the deer in the back yard! We get an occasional moose. My brother always swore he wasn't going to landscape his yard, just put a sign up that says, "Natural habitat preserved for wildlife." Don't think the homeowners' associations would go for it, however. :D

Luckily we do not have a crazy home owners association. To me Homeowners associations are a bunch of crazy people with nothing but time on their hands and nothing but busybody, noisy people ( just my opinion and if any of you are on your homeowner associations board or whatever, forgive me.)

That is a pretty cutain!
Those are beautiful deer to complement the yard. I love the green! This time of year is our brown season.
If you want to talk building, you should see around here! It's all 4 story apartments and I swear they want practically this whole area of S Main St to be that way! My parents have had real estate people sniffing around, hoping he'll retire and let them broker the deal for them. It's so sad. Don't get me wrong, the money will be good, but I know he'd prefer to sell the business and see the hospital go on. Nowadays, the veterinarians are in shopping malls!
I agree about Homeowners associations, and on top of that you have to pay, out here, hundreds of dollars a month in fees!

We are getting deer all over because they are logging and building housing developments all over the mountains. Mason was waiting for the bus at 7 am and deer cross the road a short ways from them. All kinds of wild animals are coming down. I have never seen so many birds and circling hawks. I hope they save some space :D

Henry, we buy bags of cracked corn at our local feed store. (even the cost of it has just gone up dramatically---we're probably not going to be able to be so generous....LOL) We also have wild turkeys and you just haven't lived until you see a proud mama with all her little ones behind her, sometimes as many as 13. Maybe, I can get a good pic to post this summer.......

However, in another neighborhood close to where he used to live, there were strict rules put up by the association. One of them was the houses MUST be painted an earth tone. So one guy painted his house bright blue. The association pitched a fit, told him he had to repaint his house an appropriate color. He didn't. So they hauled him off to court, where he represented himself. His course of action included a slide projector and screen along with an image of the earth from space. His explanation was that if the earth was over 75% water, and the water appeared blue (the same blue as his house) then it would stand to reason that his house was indeed and "earth tone." He won, he got to keep his house blue and the homeowners' association changed the rules to list specific colors for those in question in the future.
