    I love your quilt! Gorgeous!

As for your question, looking at the tutorial that was posted by K3N (http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-36303-1.htm) my guess would be that you could either make the batting for the outer blocks larger (cos you'll need more batting on the outer edge to accomodate the binding)or you could join strips of batting to make up more than the size of your binding and cut it down to size?

I think thickness of binding will be dependant on your preference. I love your quilt as it is but a thicker binding will still look nice. Hope this helps. I am sure that there are more experienced quilters out there who probably have a different way of doing things.

    Have fun!

It's a lovely quilt. I think I would have planned on a border, but adding it now would be something of a bother. For your next one, you might like to use more contrast on you thread, as you thought, but it is fine as it is.

My friends husband threatened to come other with his scissor to get me started. They are both quilters too.
The one I saw was put up on their website after the book came out and only requires two cuts and 10" blocks. You still have to have the book to know how to do it...but I think it helped to start with one with fewer cuts. I am ready to tackle one of the larger ones now though. ...and no...it did not go together in 6 hours! :P :P :P Hang in there, you will get yours done...it begins to look better and better the further you get on it.

Hi Linda, all I can tell you is that your pink quilt is beautiful. My granddaughter, DIL and I all wear those pinks all the time. Ruby (GD) would absolutely love it. AND she is only 3! Beautiful. :-D :-D :-D
