Just finished my first attempt at a Quilt As You Go - as well as being my first attempt at a crazy quilt. I plan to make another one like this only with blue and have a couple of questions. Should I choose a thread with more contrast to it? I used a pink varigated thread on this one and bought a blue varigated thread to use on the blue one. Also, the instructions for this are from McManus and Raffuse who wrote Crazy Shortcut quilts and they have you putting the binding on like is shown here. Would it look better with a 3-4" border added to it? If so, How do you accomplish that using the QAYG method?
    Thanks

I wouldn't change a thing. You quilt is beautiful and I'm sure the blue one will be too. Thanks for sharing.

It looks great like that!! If you want it to show up more, choose a darker, or brighter thread or use different colors on the blocks, etc. Really like this one as it is, tho.

I love the pink one, and blue is my favorite color. I'm sure you will do just as well on that one! Nice work!
