This is a quilt I completed last spring. Decided to make pillow shams BUT pieced the WRONG pieces so the shams don't match the quilt. Can't redo as I used the last of my fabric & cannot get any more. :( Oh well - My husband thinks it looks great. Such a sweetie he is! Better pay more attention next time. The pattern is Orion's Star by Eleanor Burns.

Actually, your husband's right! Beautiful and the contrast is nice between the shams and the quilt.

I think it looks awesome!! By the shams not being matchy matchy they don't blend in and show up nicely. Job well done :D

Lovely. And I didn't notice that much difference in the pillows until you said something. I simply figured that you had wanted a little bit more white in the pattern. Looks good to me.

I like the contrast patterns. The fabrics are the same colors so it really looks great and that it was planned that way. Great job and beautiful quilt.

Wow! That is a beautiful quilt and pillow shams. You obviously put a lot of work into it and it paid off! I like the extra pop with the shams being a bit different from the quilt!

Your pillow shams contrast so nicely with the quilt. Your "mistake" is just the right touch. The shams and the quilt make quite a statement together!

That is beautiful! And I agree that the contrast is just right, otherwise it would disappear against the quilt.
