I live in Brisbane Australia and we don't get snow. Plenty of rain recently. We are lucky and don't get flooded either but the main road that runs past the end of our street was closed for about 2 weeks due to flooding.
My brother and SIL went through cyclone Yasi earlier this week. Luckily they we relatively unscathed this time but suffered damage in cyclone Larry. They live in Cairns, far north Queensland.
World weather seems crazy at the moment.
