I have always loved those Dover books and wondered about using them for quilting motifs but haven't as yet tried. Clearly it works well!! Your roses are lovely. The addiition of paints opens so many new possibilities. What kind did you use? Your quilt is so very pretty.

Gorgeous quilt and your quilting is out of this world. Wish I could quilt as well. I like the so soft paint too and use it alot. I love to do trees and bushes out of it but haven't tried it for detailed work like you did.

Such an elegant look! The roses, the beautiful quilting, and the "frame" created by the borders. Very, very nice!

Very pretty quilt. My husband and I used to have a business of fabric painting. This was back in the 80's. We mostly painted on ties and t-shirts and made some pillows. No quilts - in fact I wasn't even into quilting until 1989.
