Stunning! Do you know the name of the pattern? This is my favorite Halloween table runner of all I have seen!

I made the pattern up based on one I found when I googled pumpkin table runner. There is a pattern available to purchase-it had smaller squares and no borders. Basically, sew patches together then cut out pumpkin shape with the squares on point.....easy!

Forgot to add-I simply appliqued the pumpkins by machine using a blanket stitch and free handed a twirly little vine at the top after adding stem and leaf!

I agree with Tartan. I use same thread in both bobbin and top. I also use Bottom Line which seems to disappear in the fabric once washed. And I couldn't FMQ without my Machingers, either. Kudos for making a beautiful quilt and great FMQing!

The gloves really do help hang onto the quilt better. And Leah Day suggested always using the same color in the top and bottom to alleviate that problem. I don't always, but I can see the advantages of it.

I'm no expert (did my first FMQ last summer) but enjoy it. I'm starting to learn to enjoy doing it and hopefully some day I'll actually get "good". I long to be able to try some flowers and something other than just stippling. I found myself almost doing something like that the other day, but not quite. I still don't have the control I need yet--but just keep practicing, mostly on charity quilts. I feel like it's a perfect place to learn to be "good" at this thing called FMQ.

And I think your table runner looks really nice!
