I think a border-or two or even three would be great. They would need to be small so they would not compete with the quilt pattern. I would consider a color next to the patchwork, white in the center border and a smally colored border on the outside. That combination would frame your quilt but not detract by being too "heavy". I think that pattern is really cute.

I am finishing up my Periwinkle quilt and planned on borders. I spent a whole afternoon auditioning fabrics and different widths. I just couldn't find any peace with it. I walked away and about an hour later I decided it came to me that I see more periwinkles without borders than I do with borders. I do think I am going to add a 2 1/2" strip of white around all the edges and then just do a binding.

I agree with quiltnNan, I usually put borders on, but IMO this would look great with just a multi colored binding.. Very pretty, great job

Definitely add border or two borders. Borders are like a picture frame, would you hang a picture up on the wall without a frame? Some quilts are so striking you can get by without one, but this quilt is beautiful and a colored border will enhance all your beautiful piecing.

I've started a periwinkle quilt and saved this link for a possible way to finish it. http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/projec...uilts_ss1.html

i JUST made 1 of these for a friend & when i seen the 1st part of the pic i was like I DIDNT POST MY PIC, & how would have denise posted it then realized it wasnt mine.... LOL urs is BEAUTIFUL & i made mine borderless & it was beautiful..... I LOVE this pattern it isnt easy & time consuming even with the shortcut tut on msq, i wasnt so happy with mine till it was ALL DONE then it was so pretty, after seeing urs i think i was a bit hard on myself cause mines equally as beautiful as urs, most of mine were on point ALL URS R.... Uve done a GORGEOUS job & i would go borderless, i think a border would pull ur eyes away from the patterns that appear to go on forever... WONDERFUL JOB =-)

..maybe a border of a pencil stripe lines fabric in colors in body w/metered corners. Did you use MSQ pattern on the other one offered here on the board? It is perfect!
