I hand quilted my first few quilts then started machine quilting. One day I would love to have a quilting machine, but that is a long way off.

Nanny, it would be so neat if you made a quilt with a pic. of your grandmother in the center, using the fab. sheets that you can transfer the pic. on and run through your computer printer.

My grandmother didn't quilt;but I do treasure the few pictures I have of her. You are fortunate to have this one since she was your teacher too.

I wish I had even 1 picture of my grandmother I wouldn't care what she was doing. she was murdered along with 120 other relatives in the nazi camps and gas chambers

Maybe you could make a copy of the picture on computer fabric and make a wallhanging. (If you haven't done that yet.)

Can you make a quilt out of that picture? Then it can be displayed on your wall and she would always be around.
