    That is a very nice jacket. With the flannel, maybe you can wear it in the cooler weather. Does it get cool in Modesto?

    That's very pretty! You did a great job! I'm going to look for this pattern - I really like it.

    Do you think the weight may also come from the drapery fabric? Once I used some leftover drapery fabric and made a lap quilt. It is so heavy that no one ever uses it! I think on mine, the weight comes from the drapery fabric, and also the fact that I used it for both the lining and top, so double the weight for it. I bet I don't do that again :)

    Yes, it gets cool but not for a while. We were 98 Monday but it has cooled down a lot today, staying in the 80s until Monday. I guess I'll just have to wait until November to wear it!

    Yes, although much of the fabric was cotton similar in weight to quilting cotton. I think that the many layers: lining, flannel, fabric, and flanges just makes it heavy. I guess I'll just have a new winter jacket!
