Oh sandpat! You sew standing?!! Actually that might not be so bad. Maybe you won't be a hunched over little old lady like the rest of us! LOL!

It just goes to show you, a fancy sewing studio is not necessary to create beautiful things. Especially when you have such a fine looking helper on your ironing board!

Ok, these pics aren't of my sewing room "loaded", just of the process of turning our little extra room into my sewing studio. Most of the work was done by my DH. I am all moved in now, just don't have any pics of it 'loaded' (I've been too busy sewing  ) Size is about 12x20 and just perfect!!!

How awesome to have a little hidey-room off by itself to quilt in! Can't wait to see it "loaded."

One important question--does it have a bathroom? (A phone we could do without, but a bathroom is a MUST!)

Vicki, I am past green with envy!! Your little oasis is going to be wonderful..I think I'll show it to hubby..just for inspiration???

I love the entrance...gets you in the mood to be creative before you even step foot inside. I suppose you love to create beautiful gardens too. Ahhh, thats the life!

Fabricluvr,

If you don't mind me asking...What is the size of your quilting room?

I sent you a PM with a little note as well.

Your room is such an inspiration to me.

Now for my other pictures. :?

My sister just gave me this. I put it above my computer-design area. It was to pretty to use as a rug. Has my name in one of favorite colors.

Like when I am 150. LOL :) I too am a scrapaholic as you can see from my user name.

I won't ever be caught up on either. :? But, the small and mighty sewing room is done and my place of retreat. It even has a door I can lock from the inside  Posted pics of my room under pictures forum.

My avatar is a picture of my sewing room closet. I took off the doors and had a friend's husband build me some shelves. It can hold a lot of fabric...

The walls of the room are basically lined with shelves and several desks, for books, a sewing surface. I have a flannel design wall (ie some flannel tacked to wall) on the wall behind the door.

My doll house sits on top of one bookshelf that also holds some quilts.

the top of one of the shelves, with various baskets of fabric and stuff. I hang templates on the wall.

This picture shows a bit of the desk where my phaff sits and my part of my collection of hiking and climbing books.
