    Either layout will work, but I prefer the 2nd one.

    I like them both. The colors set up an optical illusion when you look at each one. The blue fabric is what you see first with # 1 . With # 2, your eye goes to the black bars in the quilt first.
    Soooooo, it's basically the one you prefer and love the best and speaks to you.
