I'm going against the popular vote; I happen to think #1 is nice. I love scrappy quilts and think it will turn out great with a border or 2.

I like the second one also. It seems to have a great pattern. If you don't like it after it is finished, a charity could always raffle it off: your local library, hospice, hospital, etc;

#2 is awesome! Borders complimenting any of the colors in the quilt would make it pop! Hoping to see pics when you have it done!
