Hello Humbird

Yes pink hexagon was English paper pieced and quilted by hand. Honeycomb was also English paper pieced - easy to sew hexagons walking aorund kitchen waiting for pans to boil etc - very portable  Junie asked where pattern came from and I'm racking my brain to see where idea came from - it's busy in there

Wow, you've done some amazing quilts! YOU sure haven't had any time to get into any trouble, have you????

Ada Shiela 04-15-2010 08:20 PM

Hello Harmony, no, haven't had time to get into trouble, which might a shame sometimes, but I am divorced, retired senior citizen and I can please myself what I do most of the time - that is a luxury after 28 years of working mostly two jobs during my lifetime - I haven't worn a watch since forcible retirement 25+ years ago when late motherhood saved my life; now hard up and happy doing things 'my way'  Thanks for message

Hee hee. I can just see your walking around the kitchen waiting for the pot to boil while doing your hex's! I am very addicted to EPP hex quilts. I am working on #3 now, but don't usuallly do them in the kitchen  Anyway, yours are beautiful. Keep hexing!!!

very nice work, ty for sharing

Ada Shiela 04-16-2010 04:22 PM

Hello Suzie
Thanks for message love your pic of clouds but sorry to say it doesn't compare with the volcano eruption in iceland yesterday - horrific event for the world of travellers yet beautiful swirls of the erupting clouds of ash - how we look at things differently now through the eyes of quilters - I'm not into landscape pics but it won't be long before someone is

To all ladies, in the last 3 weeks who did not receive a personal reply from me, thank you all for your lovely comments and interest in my work - I'm glad to be among a group of such talented and inspirational quilters - pity we can't all get together to meet personally.
