WOW  They all are great and love the colors  I would love to have any of them  Is the blue/cream a sampler ? I think that is my personal favorite
WOW!!!! I looked a bit ago, and only 3 quilts were showing. Now, there is a whole quilt show!! Amazing work you do! All beautiful. And I love the bag with the critters on it.

Hello Sharon
Thanks for your reply - yes, that's a sampler quilt all hand pieced and hand quilted - the dartboard was my original creation using up leftovers but I needed one more block!! |
Thanks for making me laugh 'Toto' I enjoyed that - I have a few more in the pipeline of my mind, of course, as we do take care and keep quilting!!
Wow, you have been busy!
Hello wvdek - yes, been busy over 26 years now, but was hand embroidering and knitting all my life then machine knitting for years inbetween patchwork - helping Camp Quality - cancer for children support group in Oz. Last year my daughter wanted to learn patchwork sewing so I then got into machine patchwork - all other quilts are hand pieced and quilted, exept m/c emb quilt-as-you-go was an eye opener, - the only drawback with machine piecing is the lack of money for fabrics to create every quilt we see when the machine churns them out so quickly!!!! Thanks for your feedback
So Beautiful each and every one,you are one great quilter.
Hello Pickles, thanks for compliments - I love the piecing and patchwork but all done by hand previously now wish to be a great "quilter" to finish the last half dozen machine pieced quilts - had 1st machine quilting lesson last month, but oh how I wish I could be like the professional longarm quilters!!! I'll just have to get started and keep trying. :-o

Nice work, you've been busy!

Lovely to see your quilting journey. Thanks for sharing.

The honeyccmb one is very much like the quilt my MIL made for us when we got married. Used it for about 20 years before it got too tattered.
Hello Mom-6!! Yes it is a very old pattern from Woman's Day or similar magazine 40+ years ago - I didn't begin patchworking then but kept pattern all this time - glad you like it and it brought back a few memories for you. ;)

Thank you PatriceJ - I'm thrilled that you're so enthused - I love your your comments - Worked for 28 years, came home and closed the front door, so in the habit of staying home a lot and don't belong to any workgroups, though I do have a few friends into the same crafts but keep my exploits hidden so it has been quite an experience to share with you and all the other ladies - hard to reply to everyone, but I do appreciate all replies - thank you to anyone who feels left out - thank God for computers and the internet - it certainly opened up the world for a lot of people

Your quilts are beautiful. I made "Flying Home". I like the way you made yours with the goose down toward the bottom in the rows of flying geese. It was one of the first quilts I ever made and it was fun to do.
HI,Ada.Love your work.BEAUTIFUL
That's amazing work. Your quilts are lovely. Thanks for sharing.
All are nice but the second one very different very nice
love the blackand pink together |
Hello Zennia
Glad you made Flying Home also - I didn't realize it was a KS single until I began putting it together so enlarged it to QS and got carried away with the actual birds and had to add more - we have beautiful birds in Oz and I'd like to make them all!! Thanks for email. Regards  |
those are so beautiful.. I just love that flying geese one!
Lovely projects, your work is beautiful
AWESOME job! They are all beautiful! :)
Beautiful work!! You did an amazing job on each and every one.
Do you remember where you got the pattern for Flying Home? I would love to make that as a gift for someone. Hugs April |
Beautiful work! Every one was my new favorite.

Thanks for the pics, Ada. Such beautiful work, choice of colors and patterns are wonderful! You've been very, very busy. The pics are inspirations for the rest of us. Keep up the great work and post more so you can help inspire us!
Ada,
Love both sides of your bag. Got a friend in Geelong, Victoria, and I have a soft spot for Ozzie critters. Can't tell from here....is the one in the center on the black side an octopus wearing bifocals? All of your work is just fantastic! |
Hello Toto's Mum - an octopus wearing goggles? Why didn't I think of that? No, dear, it is the gum leaf with berries on - koalas eat gum leaves and we have the gumnut babies by May Gibbs who uses those designs with babies sitting in the nuts after flowering!! The Tasmanian Devil pic on the white side of the bag was not in the collection so I searched for one because he is not in our Australiana collections and struggling for survival. My son has friend in Bali who's wife loves Tasmanian Devil cartoon so I found a pic for her too  :-)
Hello Paintedquilt - I'm sure you will enjoy putting Flying Home together and seeing the birds come to life, but, do check size of quilt before embarking - it is KS single - I had to remove 3 rows of the trianglular geese at the bottom and make it wider for QS bed, hence 12 birds instead of 8.
Thank you for nice comments on my quilt collection too. |
For heavens sake...the color choices are so great! I love the flying home and the Pam Bonos! What a nice quilt show...thanks for sharing!
Inordyke, thanks for your message - glad you like my work - I also love your blue pic quilt - is it a sampler or does it have a name? Are we able to enlarge little pics in profiles to getter a better view - am still finding my way around the site and not getting any work done
