This quilt was sent to me by Cathy.
This is what she wrote (part): "The name of this quilt is baby honu (baby turtle) my daughter went to Hawaii on her honeymoon, and brought back their signature fabric, and a pattern. We liked it so much, I decided to order more fabric and save it for her baby." Isn't that just precious? I love that! Anyway she wanted the turtles to appear to be swimming...and seaweed in the border. I hope i accomplished that...I hope you can see in the pictures that the turtles are actually 3-D. This is such an adorable quilt...and what a great souvenir. I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA. I used hobbs poly down batting. Thanks for looking. back [ATTACH=CONFIG]225353[/ATTACH] |

The quilting could not possibly be more fitting for this cute quilt. I think I remember the top being posted when it was completed. I love all the beautiful fabrics Cathy used for this quilt and your lovely Charismah curls and seaweed are just perfect for it and really make the turtles and snails trail blocks pop. I can't imagine her not being super happy with the wonderful job you did on her great "Baby Honu" quilt.
