This is a wall hanging I finished in 1999 and as far as I remember my last quilt with a pieced top! The size is 58 x 67" and it is hand quilted. I used quilting thread in a golden tone that matches perfectly to the golden fabric.

I love this quilt! The hand quilting is absolutely gorgeous. I love to hand quilt but have never done anything like this. Can you tell me how you mark your quilts? I love the quilting on the blue border, and would love to try something with this type of detail. My biggest challenge is always the marking....

This quilt was marked with a watercolor pencil. I use them often for dark colored fabrics. Because the markings rub off while quilting I only mark parts of the design, then I quilt it and go on with marking. Hope that helps! |

Thanks for the info....Yes it does help. I always buy different things to mark, but never seem to like anything. I have yet to try a watercolor pencil, but I have some, so I will give it a shot...
