Denim string quilt

1 Attachment(s)
This is a quilt made for our oldest grandson out of Papa's old denim jeans. He has seen it and is crazy about it.
Now to decide how to quilt it. It is pretty heavy. I will be using a midweight flannel backing and no batting. I will hopefully have it done by Christmas.
Thank you for looking.

I think I would either tie it - or stitch in the ditch along the white/light diagonal strips.

I love it!

QuiltnNan 10-29-2017 12:38 PM

Wonderful denim quilt top! I think I would SITD between the blocks and down the border and see if that was enough to hold it together.

mucky 10-29-2017 04:39 PM

Denim does get heavy

Sync 10-29-2017 04:58 PM

Ditto. I think the white diagonal strip, and the dark blue "squares" really set it off.
