They are just beautiful, don't think there was one I didn't like and many I really..really liked! Some very talented quilters there, the detail the colours, wow.

The story goes that the lady who made the patterns of the demise of Sun Bonnet Sue didn't care for the SBS pattern but her sister was crazy about her. It drove her crazy! So she decided to give her a quilt with SBS. So she thought up ways to send Sue on her way so to speak. The whole quilt is quite funny in the right contex. Her sister was horrified. I believe the original was made in the 90's.

The quilt was a retreat Mystery quilt for DQN. It is and Irish chain with piano keys or fence keys around the edges.

OMG ! What a wonderful thing to wake up to this morning ! I truly didn't want the photos to end...great quilts and I have to say, the demise of Sunbonnet Sue quilt cracked me up ! Guess I'm not the only one who isn't wild about her !! So funny !
