I am wondering the same thing about the sun bonnet girls. Her head is in a noose and another pic of her with a knife in her. Whats the theme behind this? please explain.

These are beautifull. Love them.

The Sunbonnet Sue thing started a while back when someone was "sick to death of sunbonnet sue quilts" and was meant jokingly as her response to seeing them so often. But I agree, still dont like seeing death protrayed in such a way.

Thanks for the show, you did a wonderful job of capturing the quilting on the quilts-so often a photo doesn't show the quilting so well. As to the SS-that is for those that don't like sunbonnet sue, or are tired of seeing her. I'm not in that group but have seen others as well. To each his own.
|
If they don't like or are tired of sunbonnet sue they don't have to make her, but to kill her is sick to my mind. Don't they know people take their children and grandchildren to quilt shows?
|
Stunning!

Thank you so much for sharing this. It was almost as good as walking through a real quilt show! Beautiful quilts, can't pick a favorite one, I liked them all. Beautiful works by some talented folks!

Love the Mariners Compass and wildlife quilts the best. The Dead SS is kind of, well, creepy.
