Wow, so glad you posted them. That best of show is a knockout. Also liked the Noahs Ark and poor Sue, ha ha. You can go to www.sunbonnetsue.com and see a lot of the sunbonnet sue gone bad.

zyxquilts 03-07-2011 09:37 PM

Amazing! Thanks for taking us to the show with you. :D

charismah 03-07-2011 09:40 PM

Thanks for taking us with you. These are stunning quilts.

Janquiltz 03-07-2011 11:24 PM

Wow! That Best of Show quilt was outstanding, and really like the one done in shades of beige and sort of greys and creams. Also the Mariner's Compass with the flying geese, and that first one that looked like stained glass, and...well heck - I really like them all - except agree with Miss Sandra - not too sure how that applique of the death of Sun Bonnet Sue fit the definition of a "quilt." Sure doesn't appear to have any batting or any quilting.

Thank you for posting so many photos. Much appreciated.
However, the Sunbonnet Sue murder scenes quilt is disgusting! [in mho]

sherry mcd 03-08-2011 08:26 AM

Poor Hollie Hobby!!! What is the message behind this quilt? More than a bit grim.

patticriss 03-08-2011 08:29 AM

I could look at pictures of beautiful quilts all day. Thanks for the photos. The first was my fave. Didn't even look like fabric...more like a painting. I loved them all.

suzette1954 03-08-2011 09:23 AM

Thank you for sharing your experience and the outstanding quilts. I've never been to a quilt show other than the state fair where there are a few. I felt like I was there too. ;)

It must have really been tucked back in somewhere...out of the major hanging area. Hopefully no little ones saw it either. It was a great show.

It was behind that BIG GIANT quilt.
(Kinda hidden on the wall)
