I like it......

That is an awesome quilt! The border doesn't bother me because it will be hanging over the edge of the bed and you'll just see the quilt center.

border needs to be a little more subdued. love the quilt

It comes over too busy and too bright. I could see that crème yellow that is found in some of the corners of the small stars work. Remember though that once on the bed the borders will fall down and it might look very different. Also we are all looking at picture on a different monitor so in real life it might not be as drastic as it look on the picture. Sometimes I just want to call it a day and get done. It is a gorgeous quilt.

I am satisfied with the piecing (which took me over a year to do ... just a bit every evening), but I could not get the piping to cooperate ... need I say that I will not be putting piping on any more quilts?

As I auditioned fabrics from my stash, the one I chose for the border seemed to be perfect; now that it is attached, however, it seems to jump out and annoy me. Although I'm not changing anything about this quilt (except for quilting and binding, I am done!) but I am attaching a not-very-good picture and would like to know what you think, in particular about the border. Thank you!

It is much better in this picture. I would say leave it as it looks really good. What a stunning quilt!

After seeing the two different pictures I think this was great advice.

I think it's a beautiful quilt, whatever you decide. It might help to view the quilt on the bed rather than all stretched out. As you say, the border will have a different appearance then.

maybe more of a solid. It's a little busy

Sorry ... I deleted that picture and took a couple more with the small border also off the edge of the bed, which is how I think it will fit on her bed. Meanwhile, my camera batteries need changing before I can download the latest pictures.

Well I like it and think its beautiful! What most folks aren't considering is the fact that when it's on the bed, the borders will not be that visible! That being said, I think if you must do something different, the idea of trimming it down and adding another border sounds like it would be so much easier than ripping! Great idea.

The photo I had on here and deleted is better than any of the ones I just took, so am re-attaching it.
