It's just pinned so far. I need to quilt it creatively. The center is bubbling. I don't THINK my seams varied that much, so my pattern might need adjustment. On the other hand, I do tend to make smaller seams on smaller pieces. It's a mental thing.

Otherwise, I think I will like it when it's quilted. This one is a wall quilt. I will make a bed quilt one to perfect the pattern.

BTW - I am starting to time my sewing so I can better plan classes. This took 6 hours to sew. That doesn't include cutting time.

Oh my that is Tres' Georgeous. There is no way I could machine piece something like this, my peices would never fit. I would have to hand piece it over papers. You have done a truly beautiful job :)

That is really lovely. Beautiful choice of colors and fabrics. I can agonize for days when picking out fabric and color and will have every piece of fabric out of the closet before it is all done and still not be sure that I picked the right ones. But yours really looks nice. I am not sure that I am skilled enough to try that, but I like yours.

That's really beautiful cathe!! I love your fabric choices. Mine have "bubbled" a bit in the middle at times too, but once they were quilted, you'd have never known there was a problem!! The quilt in my avatar?...one of those "braids" was a full inch longer than the other ones. By the time I'd eased it to fit the piece it was being sewn to, it bubbled a bit, but by the time it was quilted the bubble had gone. Magic I tell ya. Just put a fair amount of quilting in that area and it should be just fine. It's going to be gorgeous!! :)

Thank you! Because it's such an old-fashioned pattern, most of the color examples I found were pink and blue calico! These fabrics are all from my stash. That black paisley is a VIP/Cranston print from Walmart, and I just love it. It's left over from the wedding ring quilt I posted a while ago.

That is beautiful! You've just given me an idea for my mother-in-law. She has beautiful flower gardens & loves Dahlias.

Absolutely gorgeous. The dahlia is on my list of things to do some day.
