I do think it is pretty. If I hadn't done those two rows with 5 hearts I would consider doing 3 in one row, two in the next, then three, etc., leaving a blank space between each one. I don't know if it is looking too busy or not after looking at it for months.

The blocks are all sewn into strips and I have two long sashing strips done and ready to sew together 2 sets of two blocks (like the top rows). Then I start working on the hearts.

Don't know if I am done for tonight or not, it's almost 8:30pm and need to eat dinner.

How it is planned now is with a heart in every space. If I do less hearts I'd have to take off 4 that have already been done and they're been glued, heat set, and stitched with a TINY zig-zag. If I try to take them off it might not look very good.

If I'm going to do it, now is the time since I'm about ready to complete all the hearts.

I vote to go with all the blocks. It's hard to get all those little tiny stitches out & you'd be upset if you ripped it, or I know I would. Good luck & can't wait to see it finished.

I guess it depends on the look your going for.
The one with less hearts you see more of the squares.
The one with more hearts it's the hearts that stand out.

Hmmm....now your in a tough position. I see what you are saying...I like both..but I think the one with less hearts is a little calmer. But..saying that, I'm not at all sure I would attempt to remove the ones you've already put on unless you are prepared to have to replace the entire group of squares if it doesn't look nice, is torn or something. I think on this one I'd leave them. You know how fabric looks when you take something off..most times..not pretty enough to leave.

I'm going to try taking one of them off. I have a brand new seam ripper and I've been dying to use it. :wink:

If I cut the stitches from the front of the heart I won't accidentally damage the block. I'll need to try and gently wash out the glue too.

If it doesn't look good, I'll put it back and can make a new heart if I need to.

Well, how did that new seam ripper work out? Hope you can get them off without too much trouble....the quilt is looking awesome so far! :D
