I bought some of those back in the 70s but they weren't billed as seam rippers but as coupon clippers. They were very sharp but got dull with all the coupons I clipped. I haven't seem them for sale since then.

It looks familiar. I think I had one back in the 60s or 70s. I don't have it anymore.

I have a couple of those - they were advertised for cutting coupons from newspapers or magazines. They do work well as seam rippers.

It looks as though it would do the job at hand...never seen one b4.
|
Well Ding-Dang-It....I've never seen a SR like that...but now that I have, I want one
|
No - not seen that one. Is it as good a friend as mine is?

It does an amazing job when ripping the seams out of jeans legs or upholstry - because it actually cuts the threads (with it's razor like edge) that pop the threads like other rippers do. You do have to be careful because it will slice your fabric too - but for heavy duty jobs - it is the best thing ever

Wouldn't mind having one like that myself.

The one that was shown doesn't look quite as durable/strong as the one you have. It almost looks like a box cutter of sorts. |
Looks like the modern version of the tiny knife they sell for seam ripping now....
