I think about $1000 each! LOL. I made 5 of them and know the work in them!

I looked on ebay and etsy and I say anywhere from $40 to $60. With the cost of fabric and supplies alone I would not sell them for less then $40. I have been telling people that ask me they are $50. They are so darned cute and just a great purse. Have not made any minis.

Sorry but your friend is nuts. The price she says is way to low. The price you want is perfect. Maybe even 5.00 to low for each. They are beautiful. I like the pink and black one.
|
I get 48 for the big one and 38 for the small.
|
I think $30 is on target. Ask your friend how much she paid for the purse she carries. I bet it was a lot more than $15. Women will pay quite a bit for a purse they like.
And you shouldn't be giving away your work. |
Your prices are right on. I wouldn't sell for a penny less than you are thinking about. I have made Bow Tucks bags and when you consider the cost and time involved you are not making much. You have to consider what your time is worth.

Not many appreciate the time, material and effort that goes into homemade items. I think that you are correct in the pricing. You did a great job.
|
I have been selling mine for $39.00...go for the gold girl that's alot of work
|
I have made lots of them and sell them for $45 and if they want their initial on the pocket I get $50. There is a lot of material and time involved. Don't sell yourself short.

Your prices sound good if not low. At church bazaar here I sold tote bags that were totally reversible for $30 & $35. No issue with the pricing. Pattern was much easier than bow tuck and I couldn't make them fast enough to sell. Other ladies didn't do so well. Depends on if your public appreciates that style & your fabrics.
They look luscious to me! Love the pink!! |
