I had several 2 1/4" squares, but not enought to do much with so, I put them with the neutral squares-which were leftovers from a larger quilt. I had miscounted the number of strips I needed--duh!
I was going to make it a small quilt-crib quilt size, but decided to set in on point and add the outer border. The batting used was a fluffy poly batting my DD gave me (what she was going to use it for I don't know). The backing is a flannel flat sheet I bought still in the package for $1 at a garage sale. This is a comfy quilt, just perfect size to snuggle on the sofa with. I've already tried it out LOL! Very Pretty, You just gave me an idea for some of my squares that I have, been wondering what to do with them. All my sq are different and no two are alike. Hope you don't mind me using your idea to do mine.

Here's my original EQ plan. Notice the 9p in the corners and center. Also sprinkled in some HST's. Scattered about in my final are 4p and 9p's. Once I got the center done, I wanted to make it larger--that's when I decided to set it on point.

Thanks everyone! I hate to throw away good fabric. I'm glad others have been encouraged to "what if.." from this project. That's why I like to share and like to look at others projects! |
