Go to her website below and all three half hour shows are there on the quilt tab. Sorry the link probably isn't live.

Sewing with nancy has a book and a video that is about landscaping quilts. It is not hard to add a building to it. The thing I like about the book is it shows you how to use the acrylics to shade things and make them look more real.

I am sure there is many books on this subject out there, maybe if you google it, there will be other options as well. Maybe a tutorial on line???

LOL we must have been posting at the same time???

Does anyone have any tips? A link? A book you'd recommend?

This is on the Southern Shore of Newfoundland... also known as the Irish Shore in a little place called Tors Cove. We have sat there looking down at the Cribbeys ( that's the name of this tiny spot) and watched whales breach just beyond the headland. It is heaven on earth for me. And very special for my husband as his greatgrandmother was born in Tors Cove.

find somebody with a digitizer program and they can turn it into an embroidery design that can be stitched out. i've seen an advertisement somewhere online where they do that kind of stuff but i sure don't remember where.

I was just looking through the latest Fons and Porter and on page 44 is an article about "Art of Quilting." It shows several pieces done by different artists--all boat/water related. Most are from photos. It not a how-to article too much, but does offer some techniques each used.

I can't see a month on the cover anywhere--huh, strange. But it has a big 10 on the side (10 Great Quilts to Stitch this Summer).

God luck! Let us know when you decide how you're going to do it.

Try just copying the picture with the aid of your computer and then quilt in parts of the scenes. You can use regular cotton fabric with a picture coating and it come out wonderful..You can't even see the seams
