What an awesome room! You have so much space, that's so cool.

I'm loving the wall.... my design wall is only small. Hubby has planned a work centre for me to free up some space, so once it's built I might be able to have an entire wall free for design. But it still won't be as good as yours! :-)

Skeat 04-15-2009 12:36 PM

My design wall is 2 insulated foam boards for a metal barn insulation w/white flannel on it...was a bit short so added just a piece of batting on the end for the extra space when multi-quilting:)

The shelves hold different containers and even some crock bowls for projects to make or collecting for...the blue bucket on the floor is full of quilt tops for me to quilt...:)I'm thinking if it stacks high enough I will get a frame soon enough:) Hope to see more/other sewing rooms! Skeat

Thanks Blue Chicken!! Yours looks super too...post your sewing room addy here so others can roam over there too..Skeat

I thought I would bring this up because there are a lot of beautiful sewing rooms on this thread. Nothing wrong in making another one though. My sewing room is on page 7. changed it somewhat I need to update the pictures when I can get the time.
You have a wondeful sewing room. Your design wall I do like,I may have to copy that.

I was going to this morning, then realised since I took those photos I've added another fabric cabinet, and a rail thing on wheels to hold finished tops, so have to take some more and post them.

You also have a great space and bright room!! Love your sewing table too!! Read somewhere (maybe here) that her daughter left and was on her own around 8yrs...and w/her daughter's encouragement, took over her old room for sewing. I had to chuckle...for it prob is hard to make that final decision:)And, the fact mine keep moving back:)LOL Hug that window!!Skeat

Skeat,
I love your nice organized room. Funny you girls should begin to show these pictures. I have been tearing my sewing closet apart for the last few days oganizing it. Almost finished! Yesss!

Here is mine.

Marcia 04-16-2009 08:08 AM

Skeat-you have a great space---lots of room to spread out and work.

I have a question about the applique block on your design wall--the one on the left. Is it from the book "Where the Cold Wind Blows"? I just bought that book and want to make the Love Letters quilt. Your block is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

MollieSue 04-16-2009 08:33 AM

Skeat & Pocoellie - I could spend days in your rooms checking everything out!! You've both got lots of goodies!! :D :D

MollieSue 04-16-2009 08:36 AM

Darlene, love your room! :D Is the doll collection your's or your daughter's?

MollieSue 04-16-2009 08:51 AM

Sewnsewer2 & RedGarnett22, your rooms are beautiful!! I'm guessing they're not always so tidy when the machines are flying! :D

I have now become convinced that I am a normal hunter/gatherer/ stash building woman! THank you so much for sharing. I don't really have a sewing room, but I do have forty acres and I do know how to hide things. Thank you so much for all who share.

sewnsewer2 04-16-2009 10:48 AM

Skeat, I got my tables and drawers from IKEA. I love them!

Darlene 04-16-2009 11:14 AM

Diana the dolls are my daughters she doesn't have room at her house she has two roommates and they all have a lot of stuff sitting around. LOL

MollieSue 04-16-2009 11:21 AM

Darlene, I've always loved looking at peoples doll collections! Lucky you you got to keep them! My house is way too small for too much collecting! :-)

well....I have to tell you that is one of my favorite things in life are those tables!!! There is something awesome about them and the blue paint really tops all!! But, I am thinking it just takes waaaaay too much room over there...and, I'm sure I can toss out dh's reclyner for the space...so I'll take it off your hands for you!!:)LOL (Do you remember what the paint name and label is?That is exactly what color I want to paint my front porch table! W/red rockers next to it...wild combo I know:)) Skeat
