I like it with the hearts. Great job and she will love it either way.

Love your quilt. I would leave the hearts out. It sure is a beautiful blue & white classic!
I would go without the hearts you've shown. Both layouts are pretty but I would want to quilt something in those beautiful white spaces!

I like it w\ the hearts... the hearts make it pop

I like with the hearts.....maybe keeping it blue you could go with dark blue hearts.
Without the hearts would be my preference. I love what others have said about a motif of some sort in the white spaces. I would use white thread on them and then a blue thread on the other blocks. This is really lovely!!! It's on my bucket list to make a blue and white quilt some day. Yours is so nice!!!!

I'm in the no fabric ♥s camp ... and do detailed ♥ quilting in the white spaces. Blue thread, without a doubt! :)
What a lovely 50th present for your sister! |
I like the hearts.
UUHMM!!! well I like it with the hearts, it's just so much more colorful, the first lay out is good too, but I love hearts, thing is is go with your gut instinct.
I like it better w/o the hearts.
I love it with the hearts. But...what if you just did blue hearts to keep it blue and white? Then some echo quilting around each? Or just a beautiful quilted design in each snowball would look nice too. Of course, in blue thread so it would show up!

I love the first one, if you wanted to go with hearts how about blue ones? :D:D:D
I love hearts, but I see what some are saying about the coloured ones. Maybe do blue hearts appliqued with the centres cut out (so it looks like a blue outline with a white heart shaped centre)...I'm not very good with explanations, so apologies if it sounds weird.

I like the hearts.

i like them both but first one without hearts i think would be better
I have a thing for hearts so you know which one I am voting for. Beautiful quilt though.
I like the 1st one better.
Definitely without the hearts
Without the hearts, but I like the idea of quilting the hearts.
Without--the hearts are nice but I think it distracts from the blue. Besides that will leave a wonderful area for a nice quilting pattern in the plain area.

I like without hearts, but the one with hearts seems to have a retro 70's kind of feel to it. :)

Without the hearts is nicer I think. Or try blue hearts maybe.
I love it with the hearts. It adds color. I find just the blue and white to plain and boring. Just my opinion. I know most like it without the hearts.
I like the hearts on it
Without the hearts or with blue hearts. It is a beautiful quilt. With the colors of the hearts, the eye goes straight to the hearts, but if you had blue hearts I think you would see the hearts without them jumping out at you. Whatever you decide to do, it will be a lovely, lovely quilt.
I like it with the hearts! I love quilts with lots of color cause they brighten things up and make it cheery :)
It would be great if the hearts were also cut from the blue fabrics.
I tend to like without the hearts for you sister. The white part would be a great place to do some fancy quilting and maybe include a heart in the quilting! It is a very pretty quilt...wish I was your sister!

These motifs are beautiful in this site. Those feathered heart motifs would be great in the white snowball blocks!
