I like the white down the center. The other looks 'too busy' to me.

I like both, but if I had to choose I'd go with the 2nd. Don't have a reason!

White down the midddle is the one I prefer. It is a busy quilt with your eyes drawn to the applique in the center the rest should frame it. with the alternating blocks it just distracts from the focal point

I like them both also but I think I am leaning towards the white. Could you audition the pastel blocks on a design board (bed or floor) before sewing them? Then swap out some white blocks and see which you prefer that way?
