they are both beautiful but I think I like the 2nd one best.

I vote for #2 too. I think the scattered inner border makes the quilt look bigger, not so much focus on the center.

I really like the second one best, to me it was relaxing.

I think a year ago I would have picked the left one but now I'd say the right one. I'm straying away from my matchy matchy thing. They both look great.

I think the second one is more pleasing to the eye. They are both pretty though.
