My shop, well its not my shop, its in a local beauty shop where my mom works. Theres been an empty station there for a about 2 years and the owner lets me set up my own little space there for FREE. Most of the gals there have known me since I was little, you know small town, but big talk. Word of mouth travels. I dont make alot of money at it but every little bit helps when your unemployed. And I just love to sew. I rarely make the same thing twice unless asked.

Hey, I know small town! I lived my growing up years in Ellettsville. I have a friend from Martinsville so maybe I need to ask her about the salon with the lovely things in one of the stations.

carol43 06-07-2011 07:01 AM

Love them.

lawsonmugs 06-07-2011 07:57 AM

See we all want a tute on the wallet. It is so cute. If you didn't show the placemats first we wouldn't have believed it. Excellent work. Mary

Here's another suggestion:
since you are selling the wallets and bags, perhaps you could SELL patterns to us rather than posting a free tutorial. I would buy one, and I think many others would, too. That way, you're still making money from your very creative idea, and we'll be able to make our own wallets.

owlvamp 06-07-2011 07:59 AM

Awesome and very pretty

I would buy one also. Mary

What she said. This is a seriously wonderful design! Check out this website: www.quiltwoman.com They e-publish independent designers. Don't be unemployed! Change careers to pattern designer !

Best suggestion yet, Joanne. Sewing is beautiful, but designing seems to be your forte. Go with it. I have to use a pattern for everything I make.

suzette1954 06-07-2011 09:27 AM

You people are truly amazing. Never would I have known you made these items. Way to go!!!

gramquilter2 06-07-2011 09:42 AM

Very well done. Love the fabric!

chanlaza's meemaw 06-07-2011 10:00 AM

Your bag and wallet are very professional. I agree. I would buy the pattern.

Joanie2 06-07-2011 10:03 AM

Count mee in too! I would love the tute or would buy the pattern as well. Looks like you are in high demand! Why not make a few bucks to put into your wallet?!
