As a result, I am crammed into a small alcove off the kitchen. I think I might just gradually move some stuff in there (like maybe a cutting table) and see if he notices-what do ya think??

I am so jealous of those with actual rooms for their creative activities! I have my machine and notions in the dining/computer room, cutting area, stash and ironing board in the living room, and storage bins and patterns in the basement!
Now we are about to move into a considerably smaller house, and I have no idea where it's all going to go! |
I would just like to say thank you thank you thank you for making feel better about how messy my sewing room is....even showed hubby some of the pics and we both agree my room isn't that messy after all so I won't be cleaning it today I will just be sewing and making more of a mess!

I don't have pics of mine, but you all make me feel better about my own! LOL!!!! I'm in desperate need of more shelf/drawer space that it's pitiful. My cutting table is buried under stacks of stuff. I use my dining room table as my cutting table these days.
After Christmas, I MUST get in there and put up more shelves / get more storage space, etc. |

LOL if I messsed up my sewing area like that my wife would kill me she likes to go to sleep at night. my sewing machine is in my bed room. cutting area / ironing board in my living room. my hardest part is keeping the living room area cleaned boy u should see it now sewing projects everywhere. (not gonna show ya)

That is pretty sneaky :!: I expected to see a room at least as bad as mine but I don't have a digital camera so you will have to be the first. Gotcha :P :P :mrgreen:

This is stack in corner just outside sewing/storage room. NE corner of storage room then east wall of room. Oh, drat, I forgot to rotate the hall corner Does it count that I'm in a wheelchair and can stand for less than a minute at a time? Hubby doesn't have time to help---nor the patience. What I intend to do is hire someone to carry boxes and bins to the bedroom and living room some morning-----------then sort for days---------then hire them to carry stuff back. |

The air hockey table may have to go .... it has become the "drop" zone and may collapse if action isn't taken! lol My 87-year old mother lives nearby and I check on her daily. She also has a sewing room and three bedrooms. Talk about spreading out! lol She has more than 150 hand pieced quilt tops that she'll be leaving for me to finish. When will I have the time or talent???? She has 50 or so already hand pieced and hand quilted that I'll need to find a home for, too. |
