Sorry, I'm not going to be the first to show a picture.

PegD 12-04-2010 08:49 AM

I'm not sure I could even get in mine to take a picture.

I'll be brave.... This is not my work space anymore, but I can tell you that when I am working on a project this is what my cutting table usually looks like. Right now it has an embroidery machine on it along with a bolt of interfacing, rolled piece of fleece waiting to be made into a blanket, Computer discs, folded fabric I just used, small iron and lots and lots of little things. I ALWAYS have to clean before the next project......

Connie in CO 12-04-2010 08:54 AM

You first.

C-mon!! I'm not afraid, only embarrassed....lol
And somehow I know where everything is.
But now that I see it posted....oh my! I think it's time to try to straighten it up somehow. I live in an apartment so I don't have any storage.

Connie in CO 12-04-2010 09:10 AM

AlwaysQuilting,i lover your mess.

raedar63 12-04-2010 09:14 AM

Ok - I'm game (especially since others posted first  ) My saving grace is that I have already made plans with a friend for us to tackle re-organizing this room sometime before Christmas. I helped her re-organize her home office so she is going to help me with my sewing/exercise room. As you've probably guessed...there is not much exercise going on for all the sewing. Oh and I home to turn the little cream color desk into a cutting/ironing table...thinking about how I can add a larger top to it for this purpose. Hubby will be happy when the dining room is a dining room again.

Cyn 12-04-2010 09:29 AM

I wouldn't know where to start! I have 3 spaces like these but I have been working on organizing- it's just not my thing! Besides making a mess is so much more fun than cleaning to me!

ptquilts 12-04-2010 09:33 AM

Did anyone see the Hoarding episode on Discovery last night? One of the hoarders was a crafter, they were trying to get her to throw away a clear plastic bag, and she agonized over it, saying, she could use it to store fabric in. I can relate.

Zebra2 12-04-2010 09:35 AM

I'd gladly post a picture of mine if I could only find my camera . . . it's here somewhere!! LOL

Connie in CO 12-04-2010 09:35 AM

Lot's of room to sew in my sewing room,BUT as you see,and i feel I'm away from everyone.Everyone one is husband and my computer.

mrspete 12-04-2010 09:36 AM

Lawwwwww, I don't have enough life insurance to go too far into mine but I have to admit, I do walk or step around in it to try keeping in mind where things are. So far, it's only been my glasses and my car keys that I loose! Too dark for a picture with my little cheapO camera. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, you brave gals!

Connie in CO 12-04-2010 09:46 AM

mrspete,poor excuse.

I was not going to post my room because today is really the day that I'm going to clean it up a bit. I'm hosting Bee on Monday and I wanted it to look a little organized. Without mentioning any names, there are a few rooms messier than mine, so I'll post.

Connie in CO 12-04-2010 12:56 PM

Thank you for posting.WOW what i nice sewing room, and i know who you were talking about. Not telling any names. You even have a quilting machine. Thanks for the pictures

pocoellie 12-04-2010 01:15 PM

Kathy-what do you mean messy? That's not messy, you've got TONS of room in there. LOL

sueisallaboutquilts 12-04-2010 01:17 PM

As I said here they are ,the room is L shaped so I Had to post a few. I just moved into this room this summer, it had been used for storage I cleaned it out and had big plans for a sewing room. As you can see I have not gotten far. can't wait till spring so I can paint the green walls. (my son picked out that paint when he was 3, he is almost 22) So there it is. a mess!

LOL - Well I'll name names...Mine! Yours is pristine compared to mine. Not to worry though...you give me something to aspire to when I have my "re-organization party" with my friend in a couple of weeks.

Lilrain 12-04-2010 02:02 PM

i love these pictures, i am not alone!!!

emptyshellamy 12-04-2010 02:09 PM

Some of those rooms aren't messy at all from what I see. I was feeling good to dig out my ironing board from under a dozen projects to actually use it

sueisallaboutquilts 12-04-2010 02:10 PM

I'm going to post one later but be prepared to FAINT!!! lol

KathyAire 12-04-2010 02:22 PM

After I posted the pictures of my room, I thought that the pictures didn't look messy. But, believe me, in person, it really is messy. I don't understand why the mess doesn't show up in the pictures. Good, I guess.

My room is an upstairs gameroom. No kids, so I get the room. My husband has bad knees and rarely comes up. I call it the 'Eagle's Nest', Keith calls it the 'Crow's Nest'.

nativetexan 12-04-2010 02:43 PM

Connie in CO-you may have just matched mine!!!

Janetlmt 12-04-2010 02:56 PM

LOL...My room is a mess..but...my motto is
"CREATIVE CLUTTER IS BETTER THEN IDLE NEATNESS!"

I totally agree. Right now I am using the living/dining room and I have gifts I have made and am in the process of making on the 2 chairs and couch arms, the coffee table, the ottoman, the ironing board, the dining room bench, the table, two TV tables, and two dining room chairs.

I have my sewing room cleaned out and the carpet cleaned. Just waiting for my son to come back tomorrow to help me get it all put in one room.

deedum 12-04-2010 03:41 PM

Gee, I just cleaned mine today!

:-D Mrs Pete I am with you! :D You make me laugh with your posts because I can relate.  I don't have my camera at home with me as DH took it out on a job so he could snap pics of deer. Before this month is over, I WILL post a pic of my room. Beware! :(

morelcabin 12-04-2010 06:26 PM

I'm one of those crazy people who cannot think in a cluttered space...so mine rarely gets cluttered...I only wish I could work in a mess...maybe then half my time wouldn't be spent cleaning it.

crazyforquilting 12-04-2010 06:57 PM

I love you ladies. I don't feel bad about mine at all. I just can't sew if I can't make a mess.

Connie in CO 12-04-2010 07:31 PM

Well as of today I'm going to move things around.I'm going to take out that old deck, sitting in front of window.I moved that chest that's in the corner to the other wall. Now i have to put the drawers back in.So maybe tomorrow I'll take another picture. You don't see whats on the wall behind the door.

Connie in CO 12-04-2010 07:35 PM
