Oh my goodness, these are beautiful!!! I don't think I have seen quilted ornaments like this (where have I been :-)

Is the pattern hard as I am new to quilting and not very experienced, and where might I purchase a pattern for such pretty ornaments? Blessings Anne

google quilted Christmas ornaments. It is really quite easy. No quilting. All done with 3" styrofoam balls 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 inch fabric and about 225 straight pins

Very elegant looking - how long did it take to make one? It looks very time consuming...I think it would take me an entire year to make 30 of them...lol. Just beautiful

this is an excellant link showing how to make them!

aberi 12-15-2010 03:25 AM

bonnie, after my husband saw them all made he wants me to spend the year making some for our own Christmas tree. These are 3 inch balls and I think if I used 2-1/2 inch and 3 inch and work on them during the year I should be able to get another 30 done by next year.... I'm thinking though that they all should be of similar colour though

JudeWill 12-15-2010 08:03 AM

Beautiful! A friend taught me how to do these years ago. I have made a lot of them and need to make some more. I've given them for Xmas gifts many times. They are a great project to do while you watch tv! They look complicated, but are so easy.
