The top edge is a tad over 8.5 inches across; however, if you look down the side, starting at the top right corner, it is 8.5 inches and increases to about 8.75 inches at the bottom right corner. It's workable into a quilt top. I think part of the problem is using a rotary cutter. I just need a bit more practice with cutting (this is also my first time ever using a rotary cutting wheel). Seaming is no problem so long as I remember to use 1/4" instead of 3/8" seams. |
