I'd go for a brownish border solid maybe
|
One of the darker colors in a plain color border would look nice!

I agree with the plain fabric. Personally, I like the burgandy. Your quilt is gorgeous.

I think a 5 or 6 or wider borde in the light contrasting colour would make it seem as if the quilt were floating and be quite dramatic and lovely, you could then di a 3/4" or 1" binding in one of the darker batik colours.

I am not much help with the border, but the quilt is beautiful, love it,.

great quilt,very original

I received this fabric today it is not like I thought It was to be a BATIK and well it was a Batik want to be I will say I love it better than if it had been a batik. The colors with the ebay picture looked more rust/light blues well they are actually greens and browns my husband says it might just work. I am going to work up a small tester border to see if i like it.
I cannot tell you all how much I appreciate your kind words and very helpful suggestions. I also ordered more fabric from a wonderful board member it has the chocolate brown with some light pink rose pattern that I think will also work. I swear I have never had this problem before!!

I would use the shade of brown that you have in the quilt that has the big pink flower.

beautiful quilt, i suggest a tan border than a thin purple or pink to draw out the colors
