Do you really "need" all those fabrics??? I will be happy to take off some of your work load. They are beautiful. I like purples too.

Patched 01-09-2011 03:48 PM

I'm just very impressed that you have that many that you know what you are going to do with them. I go in the sewing room spend an hour looking at patterns, another hour looking at fabric trying to decide what to do then leave the room without making any decisions or starting any projects. So having that many things already decided is very impressive to me.

Flugiepoo 01-09-2011 03:48 PM

OMG is right you might want to slow down on this board and get busy....just joking...

sewing4kix 01-09-2011 03:51 PM

Looks like my to do list! lol

Kehoeta 01-09-2011 03:54 PM

Now I don't feel so bad about all my stuff. :P

Jan T 01-09-2011 03:58 PM

You have excellent taste in fabrics. Any you wish to cast in my direction would be wonderful.

alikat110 01-09-2011 04:14 PM

this is great. i showed to my husband and he now understands that it is not just me. he now knows that there are a world of quilting "crazies" out there (his word, not mine). now, i just have to continue to hid the financial investment from him in the amt of fabrics and patterns that i have purchased and not completed or even started. never thought of insuring. makes good sense though!!!

Jan T 01-09-2011 04:32 PM

Fortunately, many of our husbands think of sewing as an old fashioned way to save money. They can just keep thinking that.

Kara 01-09-2011 04:36 PM

I can help you "store" some of that :D

I agree with some of the above comments:
Fastest ones and smallest ones get done first. Can't wait to see some of the finished projects.

grammyto2 01-09-2011 04:41 PM

yikes, I need to get my husband up here, to show him!!! mabie he won't think mine is so bad. LOL

Thumbelina 01-09-2011 04:41 PM

When did you say you were coming for air? You've got one busy schedule.

dsb38327 01-09-2011 04:43 PM

I could drown in your stash with a smile on my face. You gotta stop! Oh, and please do get insurance.

BizzieLizzie 01-09-2011 05:03 PM

Chigger Holler Quilter 01-09-2011 05:16 PM

Oh My! Thank you for easing my pain! LOL now I don't feel quite so bad. hehehe....maybe I'll try that someday. It'd probably motivate me to get something done. I bet I run a close second to you. Wait a minute!!!!I didn't see any FQ's and scraps...and blocks from shop hops....and.....half done dolls and fish and....folk art stuff...and embroidering.
Now, don't you feel better?

pineneedles4 01-09-2011 05:22 PM

Jessica....I'm SOOOOOOO glad you posted all of the pictures of your stash for future projects....I actually feel better about my stash now! Sometimes I've felt overwhelmed about all my projects I have in my stash...and then...for some reason (not sanity) I get carried away and find myself in another quilt shop buying up kits or fabric for more quilts! I've been trying to finish the projects I've started but I know, as soon as I walk into another quilt shop, I'll see something awesome that I just can't live without and I'll bring it home! But...it makes me happy! And, it makes me happy to realize I'm not alone....I'm not the only one who does this!

sewaholic 01-09-2011 09:44 PM

Oh Wow - I want to come to your house to play.....................

craftyone27 01-09-2011 09:50 PM

I love your stash and PP(planned Projects)!! Good luck getting some done in 2011!!

wanderingcreek 01-09-2011 11:48 PM

You have some gorgeous fabrics. I would love to come and run my fingers through your stash. Some great PP too! I wish I could be as organized as you are>

AnneT 01-10-2011 01:04 AM

You might want to part with some of your stash over here? I can see only the advantages:
1) You make us happy, when we are able to get some of your exquisite fabric
2) You get money for the insurance (go for it, PLEASE!)
3) You don't have to pay as much insurance with less fabric :)
Happy sewing!

lol -- true. you can see that most of them are planned projects (PP) I think I only have 3 WIPs pictured.

I can't quit my job -- lol -- I need the money to support my quilty habit! =)

Yeah, I thought that when I wrote it. :) Need the job to pay for the hobby.

But then think of all the women who actually just "waste" their money on drugs, alcohol, or something actually that drags them down emotionally or physically. This is kind of a "high and fun" experience that hopefully brings out the best in us....

Have fun with your PP and your WIP. Gotta go sew.

Sewsweet 01-10-2011 01:50 AM

Felt like I was at a quilt show

Rainy Day 01-10-2011 04:03 AM

You only need a patridge in a pear tree!

Roxanne 01-10-2011 04:07 AM

OMG!
My add/ocd would be ratcheted up to about 100... I would be paralyzed with all this going on.

So, I'll keep to my one or 2 projects at a time and my small stash. I still won't use it all up before I (1) die or (2) lose interest!

Good luck
Roxanne

OrchidQuiltFish(OQF) 01-10-2011 04:29 AM

Jessica,

I love, love, love all of your fabric. Wishing I had some of all the fabric you have in your stash. I also love all the fabric for the Works In Progress. You can do fabric shopping for me any day.
Wishing you more time in your days to finish all of your Works In Progress. Have a great day.

mygirl66 01-10-2011 04:33 AM

I very much enjoyed looking at all your pics! It was fun to look & say, "Oh! I have that one!". I dont think you have too much, can you ever really? When I moved last April, my fabric, sewing mach., and everything that goes with it was 3 pick up trucks loaded full, and I have a cap on my truck, with an extended cab. I have added quite a bit to my stash since then, so Im affraid to think about it! And by the way, I LOVE your Halloween fabric!

pieces 01-10-2011 05:11 AM

Haviing this many UFO's is a surprise to me.
This maybe the reason so many quilters get overwhelmed with their quilting. And why there is so much clutter in ones sewing room. I can't understand having this many projects lined up to make. I always finish a quilt before starting another one.
I wonder if this isn't the case of wanting to be a quilter?
And buying a lot of kits/fabric but never making any of these
projects? How can anyone get this many projects done in a lifetime. I say, sell all these kits, keep a couple, organize your sewing room and start sewing.

jetnica 01-10-2011 05:25 AM

*I* removed this reply because *I* was a bit to snarky.

in addition to finishing projects i need to learn not to listen to negative things that are said to/about me.

=) happy I was able to edit this one away.
