That's a beautiful quilt...Your story tugs at my heart, as I am approaching your age and though I do not have as much fabric as I could have (or as some of this group do), I will most likely never use it all up and will definitely have scraps for someone else. I HAVE quit buying fabric though I often look...and still buy batting and backing fabric if I need it.

Your quilt is so beautiful. Love the blocks on point and your fabrics are gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing.

It turned out great, Marcia!

Love your quilt and your colors! Beautiful!

It's gorgeous! You definitely need a plan in place so your lovely things don't get incinerated. (Want my address?:D)

Absolutely beautiful and wonderful colors.

Very impressive.

By the way, that's the reason we have wills! You can forbid them to touch your stuff!:)

I only have one cut of fabric that I would call cherished and I just purchased it about 6 months ago. I am waiting for the perfect pattern to rise up to use for this 2 yard cut. But, I am working diligently at using my stash so no one will have to deal with much when I pass away. I have a daughter who quilts but our styles are so not the same. She would not likely want my stash or my machines. I hope she sells the machines, donates the stash to my guild and enjoys the profits to make her own quilts.

Keep sewing and cherish the moments. You are very talented. I hope someone in your family recognizes that talent and honors you by treasuring your creations.:o
