Hi everyone! Here's another OBW I just finished. I call it 'Fanning the Flames' because it reminds me of fire plus it amuses me to think up names for these! Doesn't take much...
I'm also posting a picture of the original fabric. For OBW fans who like to know the details - the repeat was 12", I used a single repeat and cut the strips at 3 3/4" wide and the finished quilt is 44" x 42". I wanted something fairly small to practice FMQ. Thank you for looking. :-D original fabric |
Very nice! You are da queen of OBW's. How's the new baby doing?
|
The new baby is wonderful! Keeps me busy all day but let's me sleep nights!
|
I love it! Great colours also! May I just ask what OBW stands for? Another newbie question...
|
One block wonder
|
Love it!

Thanks everyone! Stummel, check out the Virtual Section here on the board to see more about OBWs - there's a link highlighted in blue at the bottom left of the page. Always glad to recruit more victims to the OBW obsession! LOL

Oh that's beautiful. I don't even want to know how you gals make these quilts--I just want to keep seeing them.
I like the name. I get naming them. |

I'm thinking we all need to go to Karla's house, hug on some horses and learn OBW. When do you think you can get a flight, K???

hugs April (who is thinking her OBW will look no where near as good :-( ) |

K- another gorgeous quilt!! You need to come to the states and give us lessons or at least a kick in the butt to make one. Afraid to start!
|
Oh crap....now I'm drooling over another one!!! K, I just love how your "whip" these out! I'm just plain ole' Congrats on your new baby too....I saw where you got him/her??? , but I don't think I told you I was excited for you.
Thanks for sharing the fabric info on this one...I might just have to find some fab...you know so I can stick it in my stash and pet it telling it that "someday" it will grow up to be a OBW....  |

Ooooh! So pretty. I love it. I like how you repeated the original leaf shape in your border. At least that's what it looks like to me. Awesome OBW. Congrats!
