Hello everyone. I've been back to work on these. And I have pictures!

Let's see here, oh yes, I have the Depression Block for joannl, I worked really hard to collect enough fabrics to make it look scrappy, I hope you like it.

Then of course is Hayes Corner, this little dubie was just that I really struggled with cutting it, for some reason everytime I started to cut it I didn't have enough fabric of the darkest blue, so I would have to recut it in another color, this went out till I gave up and cut it out of a full yard. I hope you like it barbm, just don't look to close or else you might see my frog legs sticking out. (Don't worry they're all in the seam allowances!)

Barbm 08-20-2008 01:48 PM

Elizabeth! It's fantastic! I love it! I can't wait until it comes home.

DA Mayer 08-21-2008 06:22 AM

Bettlove that is perfect. I am so excited to get the squares done so I can get a quilt together. I made Elizabeth's wildcat, but it is about 1/8 short after I squared it .
I also have my fabric laid out for the depression block, just need a few more beiges. It will be fun to have enough fabric to do a matching block.
I would take pictures but I have to wait for my batteries to charge.

Elizabeth A. 08-21-2008 07:12 AM

I'm glad you like it joannl, since the pattern makes two the second one is in my pile waiting to become a perinatal quilt that I make for charity, I have great plans for it too. :D

bettlove 08-21-2008 08:02 AM

Thank you for your kind words, DA Mayer. I'm glad you like the block.

Elizabeth A. 08-22-2008 01:27 PM

sandpat 08-24-2008 04:02 AM

Donna, my block is beautimus!!!! Thank you! I said scrappy which means any color is fine with me, so yes, the red is very nice! You did a great job on everyones block so far...I love to look at them all.

3incollege 08-24-2008 04:10 AM

sandpat 08-24-2008 04:13 AM

DA Mayer 08-25-2008 06:22 AM

I found them in my button drawer, still on the card, can't imagine why I bought them.

beachlady 08-25-2008 06:44 AM

Mareliba and Denise - those blocks are beautiful. The depression block is not depressing at all!!! LOL

Elizabeth A. 08-25-2008 06:46 AM

Thank you DA Mayer, what a delightful expression for our little kitty! :D

DA Mayer 08-25-2008 07:23 AM

beachlady, that is so funny because I told my sister last night I had to finish it because I didn't want to be depressed anymore. I really think that is one of my favorites so far, others aren't completed.

nellie 08-25-2008 08:15 AM

beauitful wow

bebe 08-25-2008 02:26 PM

Okay ladies the blocks are looking good :   .

Be sure to stay within your measurements and color choiced for the blocks.1/4 inch seam, 12 1/2 unfinished block, no cut off points. All those things take practice and I am still working on perfecting those.

I had to take a block apart because it did not measure up to standards. Bummer had to start over :(  :? :-o :x :?
I could not believe I made it wrong.

joannl 08-25-2008 04:48 PM

My Depression block is beautiful. It is exactly what I had in mind. Thank you! I love it when I get to see one of mine!
