plastic sled are not just for sliding...
1 Attachment(s)
I seen this on Sew Very Easy by Laura. she said to buy a thin plastic sled and use on the bed of your machine for FMQ
It make the fabric move really smoothly there is no drag.. I bought two of the plastic sleds from Amazon, they really work well and they don't cost as much as the super slide thing.. Here is a picture of my set up, boy I hope that the picture does not load upside down, I looked up on here on how to load a picture from a Mac computer so I am hoping it will work. So sorry if it doesn't.. |
That looks like a great set up. I didn't realize the material used for a sled was so thin and flexible. From your photo, it looks like you could cut it to fit whatever your situation. Nice idea. Thanks for passing it along.

I bought them also. They work well for me. I love Laura's tutorials!!!

What a great idea - thanks so much for sharing!

I got one too. Mine is blue. It works
great. Better than the sliders or oven mats. |

Interesting. Wonder how frustrating it is to get in and change a drop in bobbin like I have?

The ones I saw on Amazon are roll up sleds - if that is what you bought, how did you relax the roll up?

I left mine with just a clamp on the side as you can see, the sled lefts up easy as it is thin and very flexible, no problem with changing the bobbin |
Great idea.
