I make these for DGS play store he will get for christmas. Whenever I get pi.....ed of doing and redoing until it looks like what I intended it to, I only have to think of his face getting his present and it keeps me going.
He loves playing to be a salesman..........

Aubergine

Aubergine? Unless it's been GMed, over here we call it an Eggplant. And they are delicious. Can also be cooked like mushrooms. Someone gave me some eggplants that looked a lot like yours just recently, but were not quite as pretty as yours.

eggplant...........of course! thank you and I have to say that my english improved a lot since I spend so much time on this board :lol:
Try this: cut the eggplant lenghtwise in half inch slices and turn them in pancake (spiced with salt and pepper) dough and bake them slowly in a frying pan. Delicious

those are really cute...and great for kids to play with. If they have it as a toy, they might be more willing to eat it. I don't have that problem with my kids...they love their veggies, but I know some kids really don't want them.
